Brief overview
SwitchToUS is an auto input method switcher.
SwitchToUS switches input methods to Roman one like U.S. when
specified applications become active, e.g. Terminal.app. You do
not need to change input methods by yourself anymore if you also
use inputmethods other than U.S. like multi-byte inputmethods.
Install
-
Open SwitchToUSxx.dmg. (xx is a version number.)
-
Copy folder "SwitchToUS" into folder "InputManagers" of folder
"Library" of your home folder. If folder "InputManagers" does not
exist, please create it.
Finally, you should find "SwitchToUS.bundle" and "Info" files in folder
"SwitchToUS" of folder "InputManagers" of folder "Library" of your
home folder.
* You can uninstall SwitchToUS by removing SwitchToUS folder in InputManagers.
How to use
-
Launch the application you want to specify.
(or restart it if it is already running.)
SwitchToUS supports only Cocoa applications.
-
You can find a menu "Switch to U.S." in the application menu.
-
Select the menu to enable it. After you select it, you can
see a checkmark on it.
-
Any time the application becomes active, SwitchToUS
automatically changes inputmethods to Roman one.

Requirements
SwitchToUS suports only Cocoa applications.
For Leopard users, see this page to use SwitchToUS on Leopard.
I may add more information later.
SwitchToUS 0.2:
Tested only on Mac OS X 10.4.10 + iMac (Core 2 Duo). This software is
universal binary. Thus, this should run on PowerPC as well.
This software does not probably run on Mac OS X 10.3. In this case,
please use SwitchToUS 0.1 instead, which has been tested on 10.3.9.
SwitchToUS 0.1:
Tested only on iBook/G3/800(32VRAM) Mac OS X 10.3.9.
If you notice something wrong under other environments, it would be
very helpful to let me know. :)
